Ballantine Management Group of Virginia is a Limited Liability Company (LLC). Founded in 1999 by R. Thomas Ballantine, Ballantine Management Group was established to specialize in the area of private development and management of exhibition facilities. With an emphasis on understanding the inner workings of all revenue opportunities and impacts, Ballantine Management Group created a truly full-service company with unparalleled proficiency. The philosophy of Ballantine Management Group is to run a facility at maximum efficiency, economic impact and income potential. Based on the needs of its clients and of the facilities owned and operated, Ballantine Management Group has the experience to manage all profit centers within a facility in a manner that is truly best for the facility.

In the years since its inception, the scope of services has expanded beyond facility management to include event management and marketing. Ballantine Productions, a subsidiary of Ballantine Management Group, is responsible for the management and production of many successful consumer and tradeshow events. The current show portfolio includes 11 different categories of consumer shows with over 16 events that are produced on an annual and/or seasonal basis. In turn, Ballantine Management Group solely coordinates the marketing and advertising campaigns for each of the events through its marketing, advertising and public relations division.

Development of exhibition and conference facilities is the cornerstone upon which Ballantine Management Group was founded. In addition to assisting with the design and management of five convention facilities, Ballantine Management Group designed, developed and constructed two exposition and convention facilities ranging from 110,000 – 130,000 square feet with private funds. Ballantine Management Group currently owns and operates the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

A proven successful strategy for Ballantine Management Group has been implementing a full-service company philosophy; a one-stop shop for all clients and guests. This includes offering such services as convention facility management, development and master planning services, decorating services and exhibition rentals, food and beverage service, hotel development, advertising and public relations services, as well as temporary electrical services.
