Founded in 1999 by R. Thomas Ballantine, The Ballantine Companies was established as Ballantine Management Group, which specialized in the area of private development and management of exhibition facilities. With the creation and production of consumer events through the subsidiary Ballantine Events, The Ballantine Companies was born. The Ballantine Companies is made up of Ballantine Facilities, Ballantine Events and Ballantine Consulting.
The philosophy of Ballantine Facilities is to run an event facility at maximum efficiency, economic impact and income potential. Based on the needs of its clients and of the facilities owned and operated, Ballantine Facilities has the experience to manage all profit centers within a facility in a manner that is truly best for the facility. A proven successful strategy has been providing a full-service philosophy; a one-stop shop for all clients and guests. This includes offering all services as convention facility management, development and master planning services, decorating services and exhibition rentals, hotel development, advertising and public relations services, as well as temporary electrical services. In addition to assisting with the design and management of five convention facilities, Ballantine Facilties designed, developed and constructed two exposition and convention facilities ranging from 110,000 – 130,000 square feet with private funds. Ballantine Facilities currently owns and operates the Fredericksburg Expo & Conference Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Ballantine Events & Entertainment
Ballantine Events is responsible for the management and production of many successful consumer and trade show events. The current show portfolio includes nine different categories of consumer shows with over twelve events that are produced on an annual or seasonal basis. In turn, Ballantine Events solely coordinates the marketing and advertising campaigns for each of the events through its marketing, advertising and public relations division.
